Varga's Kiss.

A homage to the beautiful grotesquely full and luscious lips of the famous Vargas calendar girls.
As a viewer turns a handle and looks inside a wheel turns. An internal light comes on when a pair of lips is in front of the peep hole. Each pair of lips was modeled after a specific calendar girl, and the corresponding month and year is printed below.

The player/participant must insert a quarter and spin a wheel, once the wheel has stopped a bit of information will be dispensed audibly and visually.
The bit of advice given comes from four possible sources; Oprah Winfrey, Martha Stewart, Annie Sprinkle, or Dr. Laura. The "voice" of the Oracle changes according to the identity of the source, and the name of the source can be read along with the information.

Man Ray was always looking

A homage to Man Ray's gaze.
This solar powered viewing box is set up to turn on when a viewer stands on the foot shaped areas of the raised platform. When the solar panel(which is located in the foot shape) is covered a bright LED turns on and the screen with in is revealed... sort of. The objects within are mounted on a single rod which may be rotated in either direction using the handle. The objects are a bit to close to be seen clearly, instead a small square of vintage sliver movie screen is mounted behind the objects and the bright light emitting diode, LED, casts a silhouette on to the screen.
This references both the Rayagraphs and still lifes of the Artist Man Ray.

"When my father and I found these negatives tucked away in my Grandmothers hope chest, (although we would not have thrown them out), I felt as though we had discovered a treasure map. All we needed to do to find the treasure was to dust off the negatives and print them out. I’ve looked at these photos again and again, Im obsessed with them. They are a window into the life of a man whom I never knew."
